The Galleria, Glamour and GQ up for “LookBook Live,” presented by Cadillac, bringing the ultimate omni-channel fall fashion experience to consumers

Houston, TX, September 8, 2014 – The Galleria, a Simon shopping center, will be holding LOOKBOOK Live presented by Cadillac, a fall fashion event taking place on Friday, September 12 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. in collaboration with Glamour and GQ magazines. LOOKBOOK Live translates fall’s hottest fashion trends from the runway into real life and shares where to shop the trends. There are also print, digital and social media elements of the program.

The LOOKBOOK Live Event Series will bring the best of fall fashion to The Galleria via an interactive trend showcase, hosted by style pros from Glamour and GQ, and will include:

  • Live Lounge: Dedicated fashion space with his-and-hers style consultations and grooming stations, a selfie station, on-trend product displays and more.
  • Stage Events: Panel forums, trend presentations and styling challenges hosted by experts, including:
  • Style Q&A Expert Panel: Glamour and GQ’s expert-led panel discussion translates the season’s trends from the runway to real life for consumers in an interactive format.
  • Style Challenge: Engaging activity that encourages shoppers to vote for their favorite styles chosen by the area’s most fashionable bloggers and then compete in the challenge themselves.
  • He Said/She Said: Unique fashion presentation that showcases the hottest trends as seen through the eyes of the opposite sex.
  • #foundatsimon Challenge: Style aficionados will be selected in each market at the Simon LOOKBOOK Live Lounge to compete in an exclusive style challenge. After a special mentoring session, they will be turned loose in the shopping center with Simon Giftcards to shop for and then style their ultimate fall look, to be unveiled at the closing of the event.
  • Giveaways and more: Contests, giveaways and sweepstakes offer attendees chances to win during the LOOKBOOK Live events along with the gifts and “swag” they'll pick up. Retailers will also be hosting in-store events at LOOKBOOK Live locations.
  • Local style icons: Bloggers will share style advice and participate in LOOKBOOK Live events while providing up-to-the-moment insights and commentary to their followers before, during and after the events.

A special invitation-only VIP event will be held at The Galleria on Thursday, September 11, in conjunction with VOGUE and presented by Cadillac, to showcase luxury fall fashion trends to local insiders, media and VIP guests.

LOOKBOOK Live kicked off with nine pages of fall fashion trends in Glamour and GQ’s all-important September issues and continues online at with his-and-hers in-depth videos on how to wear fall’s best styles. The program’s social component encourages readers to send a photo of their favorite fall look inspired by these trends using both #foundatsimon and #gcglamourcontestentry for the opportunity to win a $2,500 shopping spree at a Simon shopping center.
