Healthcare

DPWPR partners with healthcare organizations to elevate brand awareness and lead in an increasingly dynamic healthcare communications landscape. From hospital systems to world-renowned physicians, we develop strategic communications plans strengthening reputation, engaging communities, and supporting better health outcomes.

Texas Children’s Hospital

Since first partnering with Texas Children’s in 2020, DPWPR has served as an embedded communications partner, adapting with agility to each moment, opportunity, and challenge while delivering strategy and results. The agency created visibility through tactical media relations, executive and leadership positioning, event implementation, and advertising partnerships; pivoted during COVID to launch the global vaccine Corbevax, driving national thought leadership for Drs. Hotez and Bottazzi; and helped define key milestones including the launch of the North Austin Campus, Houston Open sponsorship debut, and the transformative Kinder Children’s Cancer Center joint venture announcement.

University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston

DPWPR serves as agency of record for the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB), providing strategic planning and consultation, message development, media relations, and profile raising. From the start, the agency developed a comprehensive communications strategy designed to elevate and promote the UTMB brand, connecting leadership’s vision, and the institution’s accomplishments and impact with its four mission areas: clinical care, academic, research, and innovation. In just two years, the agency has secured extensive media coverage promoting UTMB’s leadership, physicians, and signature initiatives, including the Moody Brain Health Institute, Project Métis, and the Global Brain Economy; the Sealy Heart and Vascular Institute and the Galveston Heart Study; Blue Zones and the Moody Longevity Study; and groundbreaking gene therapies.

MD²

When MD², considered the pioneer and provider of concierge medicine, opened their first Houston practice, DPWPR was hired to navigate their entry into the largest medical complex in the world. The elite MD² monthly retainer, at approximately $2,000 per month per individual, needed more than a publicity campaign. DPWPR activated the firm’s proprietary network, identifying targeted prospective patient families, for MD² leadership to share the benefits of their untraditional exclusive healthcare model. The agency’s role expanded media relations services nationwide to Dallas, Austin, Nashville, Boston and Denver. Press results included Denver Business Journal, Tribeza Austin, PaperCity, Houston Business Journal, Houston Chronicle, Modern Luxury’sBoston Common and Sophisticated Living Nashville.
